We believe in the importance of psychosocial oncology – the area of cancer management that addresses the psychological, emotional, and sociological impact on patients and families, and strives to improve their quality of life. Catastrophic illness causes disequilibrium and stress, and necessitates significant adaptation. The psychological and emotional pressures and trauma associated with cancer and cancer treatment are significant. By offering psychosocial counseling services, Medical Oncology Associates aims to help patients and families communicate and cope more effectively and enhance their quality of life.
