Tipsy Turtle Make Life Count Charity’s 2016 Fundraiser

Over the years, the Make Life Count Charity has raised an incredible $301,550.00 for our Prescription Assistance Fund! The Make Life County Charity is our Fund’s largest benefactor, enabling us to help so many cancer patients in need. Ken and his team truly share our mission to assist local cancer patients with the financial burden of cancer treatment.

Puck Cancer 2016 Fundraiser
Thank you to Puck Caner and the organizers, Shawn and Lauren Myers, for raising an incredible $4,000 for the Medical Oncology Associates Prescription Assistance Fund!!!
The Puck Cancer event was held on July 9, 2016 at the Quality Hill Playground in Nanticoke. This annual fun and family oriented event included hockey; food and drink; and live musical entertainment. The funds raised by the Puck Cancer event will enable us to help so many cancer patients in need.
We thank Shawn and Lauren for all of their hard work, dedication, and continued support of our Fund.

Hoodies and Long Sleeve Tees For Sale
We are selling hoodies and long sleeve tees to benefit the Medical Oncology Associates Prescription Assistance Fund. Two designs are available in each style – “Support Them All” ribbons and “Strength in Numbers” featuring a tree design.
Hoodies are $25 each and long sleeve tees are $15 each.
All proceeds benefit the Medical Oncology Associates Prescription Assistance Fund.
New Year, New You!
Happy January! It’s a great time of year to focus on health and fitness – a “New Year, a New You!” We invite you to try our Women’s Exercise Class!
Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. There is no need to RSVP – just show up a few minutes before class begins.
Classes are free to our patients courtesy of Medical Oncology Associates and Radiation Medicine Specialists of NEPA. Classes are led by Debbie Grossman, a certified personal trainer and certified breast cancer exercise specialist.

Flu Shots Available
Flu shots are currently available in our office. Conveniently, you can receive your flu shot in our office during any scheduled appointment. To receive your flu shot, please ask one of medical assistants or any member of our nursing staff during your appointment.
If you do not have an appointment scheduled during flu shot season, please call our Front Desk at (570) 288-7231 or message us through the MyCare Patient Portal to request an appointment.
The Women’s Exercise Program
Sessions are held in the conference room of Medical Oncology Associates, located at 382 Pierce Street in Kingston. Classes will have 12 participants who are patients of Medical Oncology Associates and Radiation Medicine Specialists of NEPA. New group participants are being accepted on an ongoing basis.
All classes will be led by Debbie Grossman, who created our exercise program. Debbie, a certified personal trainer and a certified breast cancer exercise specialist through the Pink Ribbon Program, has been in the fitness industry for fifteen years. For the past several years, Debbie has been the director of the Wise and Well Program at the Jewish Community Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, providing group exercise programs, as well as one-on-one training, incorporating strength, balance, and flexibility.
Funding for the classes will be underwritten by Medical Oncology Associates and Radiation Medicine Specialists of NEPA.
If you are interested in joining our exercise program, please pick up a signup form at either office, then complete and return it to one of the offices listed above. Please be aware that by signing the form, you are committing to attend at least 6 weeks of our program.***
